Texts, images and understanding

Glossaries, questions and further explanations accompany the scenes. The journey also includes collectible cards about characters, places and objects, offering another way to revisit the story.

The project presents the 24 books through 139 episodes. Each stage introduces characters and places, provides a summary and a scene in modern prose, and invites readers to return to the text. The aim is to make the journey approachable for people discovering the Odyssey for the first time.

Two languages, distinct sources

The Library brings together the historic translations by Ippolito Pindemonte in Italian and Samuel Butler in English. Modern prose and explanations remain separate from these sources. The project includes both languages, as shown in the English screenshot.
